The Social Services Agencies
of the City of Sacramento and the County of Sacramento in association
with the Salvation Army and the Volunteers of America worked
with a local real estate developer and ImageWorks Architecture.
Our goal was to sort through many complex social services issues
to design and build a new campus consolidating many of the social
services of the community into a single facility. Incorporating
a very restrictive construction budget, the design solution
established the need for three buildings ranging in size from
6,000 s.f. to 10,400 s.f., utilizing simple construction methods.
The construction budgets were maintained while completing
the project within schedule.
Serving the social needs of a community provided us many
insights into the complex issues needing careful evaluation
in order to assemble the best facility solutions.
