The City of West Sacramento is experiencing an expansion and a revitalization, which is
transforming the face of this community. As vital community partners Washington Unified
School District and the Grupe Company have asked ImageWorks Architecture to join them in
the design and development of a new elementary academy school for the new river front
community of Governor’s Park.
When completed for the 2005-06 Academic year the facility will be the new school for 560 K-8 students and
will become a community-gathering place in conjunction with the integrated community aquatics center.
This new academy school will give opportunity for this community to continue revitalization efforts and to
be a focal point for both the children and the residences of this river front community.
