The expanding needs of
the San Juan Unified School District Transportation Services
Department required the development of new facilities. The district
purchased an existing commercial distribution facility for conversion
and expansion into a 22,500 s.f. office, warehouse, and maintenance
facility and parking for the district’s 220-bus fleet.
Teaming with district officials, ImageWorks designed a successful
solution incorporating the relocation, consolidation, and
streamlining of current district facilities. The innovative
design solutions and the consolidation of multiple office
locations have increased the efficiency of the transportation
department. In addition, long-term costs of maintaining the
facility have been reduced, thus offsetting a portion of the
project costs.
